Port Royal State Park Family Session | Clarksville Family Photographer | The P Family

It is that time of year again where the family photography sessions are a buzz for holiday cards and amazing family memories. You may remember The P Family from their session with me last November at Billy Dunlop Park. I am so honored to shoot with them for the second season in a row. In this crazy military life, people are often coming and going so much that having the same families year after year is such a blessing.

This year, we met up at Port Royal State Park in Adams, Tennessee just a few minutes away from us in Clarksville and Fort Campbell. We walked along the Red River catching up over the last year, sharing our upcoming holiday plans, talking about our December babies, and how quickly they grow up.

I think Miss Layla may have a future behind the camera if she doesn't end up as a model in front of it! She was such a great helper as we set up poses for her family and finding the perfect spots for our next shooting location. I can't believe she's about to be SIX! If you remember, last year, we took such a fun photo of Layla on a bridge at Billy Dunlop and we just HAD to recreate it this year at Port Royal. We decided, we are just going to have to find a new bridge every year and recreate that fun shot.

Since Layla was enjoying behind behind the lens and helping me so much, it gave us an opportunity to get some amazing couples photos of her fun parents, Kelsey and Darren. The love in their eyes when they look at each other is inspiring and their smiles are infectious. They are so stunning, I may just have to convince them to do a couples session with me this spring!

I hope the military keeps us all at the same station long enough to capture their family photos again next year!
